CARROT SEED OIL AND CUCUMBER REJUVINATING SKIN TREATMENT


Carrot Seed Oil is a powerful detoxifier and skin rejuvenator.  When applied to the oil is applied to the skin epidermal cells are stimulated, helping to keep wrinkles at bay. Carrot seed oil is also known for its ability to alleviate skin problems like acne, eczema, psoriasis, ulcers, weeping sores, and boils.

Cucumber helps in soothing and calming your skin and its cleansing properties help keep skin soft and supple

Ingredients:
3 drops of carrot seed oil essential oil
2 tbsps grapeseed oil
1 inch of fresh mashed cucumber

Preparation:
Mash or puree the cucumber and mix with the grapeseed oil and the carrot seed oil essential oil.

Application:
Apply evenly to a cleansed face.  Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Super Boost Antioxidant Red Wine Face Mask

To help celebrate the forthcoming launch of our new Red Wine Resveratrol and Rose Oil Range, we thought that this month's homemade skin care recipe should contain noneother than red stuff itself!



Red wine contains resveratrol, a naturally occuring compound found in the skin of grapes, that is known to have powerful antioxidant properties. Reveratrol's powerful antioxidant abilities are like a super boost of protection, fighting free radicals and helping the skin to function properly.

Ingredients:
3 tbsp Red Wine
1 tbsp Organic Honey
1 egg white

Preparation:
Separate the yolk from the egg white and mix with the honey and red wine until a smooth paste is formed.

Application:
Using your fingertips spread evenly over a cleansed face.  Leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes then rinse off with warm water.


Cleansing Baking Powder Face Mask

                                  


This is a simple yet effective face mask that cleanses the pores from dirt and oil. Great for acne and oily skin.

Ingredients:
Baking Powder
Water

Preparation:
Mix the Baking Powder with enough water to make a paste.

Application:
Apply the solution to your face, avoiding your eyes and mouth. Let it sit until it hardens then rinse off. Use daily or every other day.

Fruit 'n' Herb Acne Mask


The anti-fungal ingredients in this face mask will help control those pesky pimples and help keep your face soothed, calmed, cleansed and moisturised.  Also makes a great exfoliator. 

Ingredients:
1 avocado
1 tsp orange juice 
1 tbsp cream or milk
1 tbsp ground raw almonds
2 basil leaves
2 drops lavender oil or tea trea oil (optional)
Preparation:
Mash ingredients together using either a blender or pestle and mortar.

Application: 
Apply to the skin.  Leave on for 10-15 minutes

Apple and Honey Repair Mask


This repair mask also has moisturising, anti-aging, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory abilities. Also good for cleansing, exfoliating, calming and healing.

Ingredients:
1 apple (grated)
2 tbsp honey

Preparation:
Blend the ingredients together in a blender.  Alternatively gently crush the apple with a pestle and motor and add the honey.

Application:
Apply to skin and leave on for 15 minutes.  Rinse of with warm water.

Moisturing Banana Face Mask


This tasty little face mask has anti-ageing, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits making it good for cleansing, exfoliating, calming, healing and moisturising.  

Ingredients:
1/2 mashed banana
1 tbs honey
2 tbs sour cream

Preparation:
Mix the above ingredients together and apply to skin.  Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
